Kimberly Molina Lopez
3-K Study Lead Teacher
I am a passionate 3-K Lead Teacher who believes that every child is capable of learning, growing, and making a difference in the world. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Queens College and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University. My journey in early childhood education began in 2020 as a teacher’s assistant, and I am now in my second year as a lead teacher. Throughout my experience, I have developed a deep love for creating meaningful, engaging, and nurturing learning experiences that allow young children to grow with confidence.
I believe that every child is a unique flower, and together, they make the world a beautiful garden. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels welcomed, supported, valued, and heard. I strive to meet children where they are, celebrate what makes each of them unique, and encourage their natural curiosity and love of learning. I especially enjoy incorporating arts and crafts and science experiments into the classroom because they give children opportunities to explore, create, ask questions, problem-solve, and learn through hands-on experiences.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and am very proud of my Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. My husband is from El Salvador, and I enjoy visiting the country and experiencing its culture.
Outside of the classroom, I am a proud mom to a two-year-old boy who brings so much joy to my life. We enjoy going to the park, reading together, swimming, dancing, and traveling. Becoming a mother has given me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of providing young children with environments where they feel safe, loved, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
I look forward to creating a classroom community filled with love, learning, creativity, and discovery. It is truly a privilege to be part of a child’s early years, and I am excited to build meaningful relationships with my students and families while creating wonderful memories and learning experiences together at Early Bird Educational Center.
Wendy Munoz
3-K Study Plan Lead Teacher
I am a dedicated educator and proud mother of four. One of my children is an Early Bird graduate, and another is currently enrolled, which gives me a unique perspective as both a parent and educator in the program.
I began my studies at Francisco Morazán National Pedagogical University in Honduras and am now enrolled in a study plan, currently halfway through my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. With experience working with children ages 3–12, I bring passion, creativity, and a strong commitment to the classroom.
I love creating crafts, decorations, and songs, and I continue to grow professionally as both a learner and a teacher.
Anika Chowdhury
3-K Teacher Assistant
My name is Anika Chowdhury, and I go by Ms. Anika. I am proud to be a Teacher Assistant in the 3K classroom at Early Bird Educational Center. Before joining Early Bird, I worked as a Home Health Aide. I attended Baruch College, where I studied Pre-Med Biology, minored in Communications, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I plan to continue my education and pursue further opportunities for higher learning as I grow both personally and professionally.
Working with children is meaningful to me because I enjoy watching them learn, grow, and develop their own unique personalities. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. My goal is to help create a positive classroom environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, exploring their creativity, and building confidence. I hope to encourage each child to be curious, believe in themselves, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
As a bilingual educator, I speak both Bengali and English. This allows me to bring a multicultural perspective into the classroom by celebrating different languages, traditions, and backgrounds. I value creating an inclusive environment where children and families feel welcomed, respected, and represented. I believe that embracing cultural diversity helps children develop an appreciation for one another and the world around them.
Outside of work, I enjoy art, music, and makeup, which allow me to express my creative side. I also enjoy taking nature walks, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. I look forward to continuing to grow in Early Childhood Education and making a positive impact on the children and families I have the opportunity to work with.
Angelica Rodriguez
Pre-K Lead Teacher
My name is Angelica Rodriguez, though most of my students and families know me as Ms. Angie. I am proud to serve as a Pre-K Lead Teacher at Early Bird Educational Center. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from Touro College and am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth–2nd Grade).
My journey in early childhood education began in 2013, and I joined the Early Bird family in 2015 as a Teacher Assistant. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to grow into a Lead Teacher role and wear many hats, including supporting our administrative team in the office. While I valued each of these experiences, they helped me realize that my heart truly belongs in the classroom.
I later took some time away to welcome my beautiful baby boy while remaining connected to Early Bird part-time as a substitute and music teacher. This year, I am excited to be back full-time as a Pre-K Lead Teacher, doing what I love most.
Teaching is my passion, and my goal is to help every child believe that they are capable of achieving great things. I strive to create a nurturing classroom that supports children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development while building a strong foundation for future learning. I value each child as an individual and encourage children to think independently, solve problems, express themselves, and approach learning with confidence and curiosity.
Outside of the classroom, I love being a mom to my little boy. I also enjoy exploring New York City’s historical sites, museums, and art exhibits, as well as traveling and hiking when I have the opportunity. One of my favorite pastimes, both inside and outside the classroom, is creating arts and crafts that bring creativity, joy, and learning together.
I am grateful to continue growing alongside the children and families at Early Bird Educational Center and look forward to helping each child feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
Vivian Monfiston
Pre-K Lead Teacher
I am proud to serve as the Pre-K Lead Teacher at Early Bird Educational Center, bringing more than 15 years of experience working with young children and families in a variety of early childhood settings. I hold a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, have experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and am currently pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education.
Born and raised in New York City, I have spent much of my career serving children and families in the Jamaica, Queens community. I chose early childhood education because I wanted to be part of the foundation of a child’s learning and development and help set children on a path toward future success. I believe the early years are incredibly important, and I value the opportunity to create a classroom where children feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and helps shape the values I bring to my work each day love, patience, compassion, and respect.
Outside of the classroom, I co-host a podcast and enjoy sewing, woodworking, and other hands-on projects that allow me to be creative. I also love spending time with family, enjoying good food, being in nature, and, of course, sharing a good laugh!
I look forward to continuing to grow as an educator, building meaningful relationships with my Early Bird students and their families, and helping each child develop a strong foundation that they can carry with them well beyond my classroom.
Jackelyn Davila
Parent Coordinator & Pre-K Teacher Assistant
My name is Jackelyn Davila, also known as Ms. Jacky. I am the Parent Coordinator and Pre-K Teacher Assistant at Early Bird Educational Center. I studied Child Development at John Dewey College and my goal is to obtain a certification in Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and Spanish is my first language. I utilize this asset in and out of the classroom with my parents and students. Especially in the Jamaica, Queens community that we serve speaking Spanish has helped parents really stay involved and be a part of their children's education.
My mission is to treat students as individuals and try to meet their intellectual and emotional needs to instill the belief that they can achieve anything. My skills are working with parents at all levels, helping families integrate into the educational system, working effectively in groups, being passionate, patience, flexibility, and respect for all.
My interest and hobbies are spending time with my family, traveling, learning new things, and trying to enjoy every minute of life. I choose to work in early childhood because early childhood can be rewarding. As it provides the opportunity to influence and shape the lives of young children and their families.
Jailyn Manzueta
3K Teacher Assistant
Hi! I’m Jailyn, though many know me as Ms. Jay. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and I’m so excited to be part of the Early Bird Educational Centers teaching team. I’ve always had a passion for working with young children and creating a fun, caring space where they can learn and grow.
I love helping little ones explore the world through play, stories, and hands-on activities. My goal is to make every child feel safe, valued, and confident in themselves.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me working as an esthetician, traveling, and exploring new places and experiences. I believe every child brings their own unique light and potential, and it’s my joy to nurture that spark each day. I’m committed to building strong connections not only with my students but also with their families, so we can work together to support their growth and celebrate their milestones.
ELIZABETH MERCADO
Pre-K Teacher Assistant
Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Mercado, and I also go by Ms. Ellie. I am a Pre-K Teacher Assistant here at Early Bird Educational Center. I recently earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from Hunter College and plan to pursue my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education in the near future.
Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine since my formative years. I have always found beauty in guiding others through a comforting and supportive lens. I deeply value the two-fold nature of learning — where I can teach my students while also learning and growing alongside them. I believe every child is capable of achieving what drives them as long as they are encouraged and inspired. I am excited to help guide our students at Early Bird Educational Center as they build confidence and discover their unique strengths and interests.
In my free time, you can find me wandering through museums or reconnecting with my love for photography. I also enjoy exploring pet-friendly spots around the city with my dog, Oliver.
