Early Bird Educational Center was founded in 2012 with a mission to provide high-quality, culturally responsive early childhood education to families in Queens and across New York City (NYC). As a bilingual (English/Spanish), certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), we are committed to creating nurturing, inclusive learning environments where all children feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.

The center was established by Marianela Jimenez, a retired NYC Department of Education (DOE) bilingual teacher with over 35 years of service. Her vision has always been simple and powerful: every child deserves an excellent education, regardless of their background or economic status. Today, she continues to guide and mentor staff, ensuring that the Early Bird mission is upheld every day.

Her daughter, Eyeri "Angie" Gonzalez, Co-Owner and Executive Director, works closely with Ms. Jimenez to lead Early Bird’s operations, staff development, and program quality. With a strong foundation in management, training, pre-law, and finance, Eyeri ensures that Early Bird remains a model early childhood program in Queens.

Early Bird currently operates two commercial childcare locations, offering a total of four classrooms and a licensed capacity of 57 children. Our team of dedicated early childhood professionals are trained to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with NYC Department of Education (DOE) Birth-to-Five standards.

We are proud of our strong compliance history, successful partnerships with the NYC DOE and the City of New York, and our commitment to maintaining safe, warm, community-centered learning environments.
